Flintrock Falls - A Lake Travis Golf Community
The Golf Courses

Flintrock Falls Golf Course

Architects:  Jack Nicklaus & Jack Nicklaus II

Description:

This gem is the area's first collaborative design by Jack Nicklaus and Jack "Jackie" Nicklaus, II. Opened in 2002, Flintrock Falls is quickly becoming recognized as one of Jack and Jackie's classic efforts. The signature Waterfall hole #11 is already giving The Hills hole #7 a run for its money as most beautiful hole in the State. Unlike The Hills, where well placed tee shots are at a premium, approach shots and short game skills are most important to negotiate well bunkered, undulating greens complexes at Flintrock Falls. Higher in elevation than The Hills course, you may well be distracted by scenic vista's of the Texas hill country and nearby Lake Travis.

Live Oak Golf Course at Lakeway

Architect:  Leon Howard
Description:

The Live Oak Course derives its name from the Live Oak trees that frame its meandering fairways and shade its tees and ample greens. But no sand here; Live Oak is void of sand traps and bunkers. Members and guests often feel as though they are playing a secret course hidden in the hills, away from the demands of everyday life.

The Hills Course

Architect:  Jack Nicklaus
Description:

Home to the PGA Champions Tour 'Kinko's Classic of Austin,' won by Hale Irwin in 2003, this Jack Nicklaus Signature course opened in 1981 and has held a high ranking among Texas' best courses year after year. Eight of the past 10 years, the famous Waterfall hole #7 has been voted "Most beautiful hole in Texas" by the Dallas Morning News. Although not considered a tight layout, strategically placed tee shots are at a premium here to set one up for their approach shot to gently rolling greens of ample size. A guest fee surcharge is in effect for this course.
